When we think about technology we normally think about computers and other types of electronic devices. The speed at which products grow is increasing each year and it appears that science is the driving force behind it. Research and development is very important for large companies that are trying to gain a competitive market edge over their competitors. This is why many large companies continually upgrade and improve their products. Water companies will promote the cleanest water in a bottle and their competitor will also do the same. Women are also judged in our society based on their looks and body shape, much in the same way that a product is for sale. Science and technology are the driving force behind our economy and the products that you see in the super markets. If we were not changing products at a continual pace, eventually we would all own everything that we wanted which would halt profits for companies. This is why they keep making better products to entice us to purchase them. Engineering is another profession that is very similar to science and technology. We build bigger and better buildings and at the same time tear down old ones. We do this to create jobs and to replace older structures with newer ones. Evolution and change are what drive our economy.
